Imtech ICT integrates Smartsite iXperion and Microsoft SharePoint

It is now possible to publish documents from an internal SharePoint environment on a Smartsite website. Imtech ICT has developed an interface/widget that makes this very easy. The enormous advantage is that documents can be managed in one location but can be made available more broadly. This solution combines the power of Microsoft SharePoint and Smartsite iXperion.

Microsoft SharePoint

Microsoft SharePoint is often used as the intranet of an organisation and it is the company-wide platform for collaboration. It is the tool employees use to collaborate, share documents and exchange knowledge. Employees use it to work on documents that produce, after writing, polishing and correcting within the entire team, a publishable document.

Interface with/widget in Smartsite iXperion

The interface/widget allows a finished document to be automatically published in the Smartsite iXperion website environment. The document can be viewed by all authorised website visitors, both in the original version (Word, Excel) but also as a PDF document.

This allows documents that are intended for public release to be published easily on the internet.

Complete Suite

Seneca has embraced the widget developed by Imtech ICT and is now part of the Smartsite iXperion suite. This suite includes the generic application SmartInstant (the powerful out-of-the-box intranet or internet site) and three industry-specific applications: SmartInstant Government, SmartInstant Housing and SmartInstant Care.

Websites powered by Smartsite iXperion offer many advantages, such as multi-channel, personalisation, search engine optimisation, accessibility (in view of website guidelines), reuse of content across many domains and the ability to easily create mobile sites.
